Setting the Date
Set the date for your wedding as soon as possible. One month lead-time is the absolute minimum but several months lead-time is preferred. All wedding dates are on a first come basis. Only one wedding is held on any date. No exceptions.
Call the church Administrative Assistant to see if your date is available at 330-673-7752. A $50 fee is required to hold the date. A form will be mailed to you and must be filled out to have your date put on our calendar.
Premarriage Counseling
You must have three counseling sessions with Rev. Hayward before your wedding. Call the church office M-Th 9 am-noon to arrange a session with Rev. Hayward. These sessions aid couples in understanding their relationship.
The Minister
The pastor of The UMC in Stow is responsible for all weddings taking place in this church. Any and all arrangements and procedures will be made in consultation with the pastor and our Wedding Coordinator.
If you would like another pastor to assist with the wedding, our pastor will be happy to extend an invitation to participate to those with valid ministerial credentials.
Flowers and Decorations
Flowers may be left for the following day's worship service, if desired. They will be placed in the narthex and acknowledged by the Sunday liturgist.
Aisle runners are discouraged for safety reasons.

Two large candelabras are available. You must provide the 14 white dripless 12 inch candles.
