The purpose of our preschool program is to provide an environment for promoting self-esteem in each child. This is done through an atmosphere of working and playing together for enjoyment, growth, and a greater awareness of the world.
This preschool program has been a part of our church for over 40 years. It is governed by the Preschool Committee consisting of church members. The registrar of the program is Karen McCaffrey who may be reached by calling the church office. Registration for the preschool is in February. We accept three, four, and five year olds. The schedule and fees are listed below. Each class has one state certified teacher and one assistant. There are no more than 15 children per classroom. (18 may be enrolled in the 4+/5 year old class)
All children must be three or four years old by September 30 to be enrolled in a 3 or 4 year old class. For children who miss the cut off for Kindergarten, there is a four- day- a- week class. Children must be 5 by March 31st. All students are expected to be potty trained to attend the program per state regulations.

The Preschool Registration Form is available on-line to PRINT OUT ONLY. Please do not try to e-mail the form to the school. There are also forms available in the church office.
CLASS AVAILABILITY FOR THE 2010/11 SCHOOL YEAR: (as of 9-01-10)
3 year old morning class (T/TH)9:30-11:30 am: 2 OPENINGS AVAILABLE!
3 year old afternoon class (T/TH)12:30-2:20 pm: Due to low enrollment, this class is unfortunately not going to be held.
4 year old morning class (MWF): Currently full, but taking names for a waiting list
4 year old afternoon class (MWF)12:30-2:30 pm: OPENINGS AVAILABLE. The class is currently all boys!
4+/5 year old morning class (M-TH)9:15-11:45 am: Currently full, but taking names for a waiting list
Classes Offered:
3 year olds ->>>Tues. and Thurs.--9:30-11:30 a.m. (must be 3 by Sep't 30, 2010)
4 year olds->>> Mon., Wed., and Fri. 9:30-11:30 a.m. OR 12:30-2:30 p.m. (must be 4 by Sep't 30, 2010)
4+5 year olds->>>Mon. through Thurs. 9:15-11:45 a.m. (must be 5 by March 31, 2011)
Our program begins the first full week after Labor Day and ends on the Friday before Memorial Day. Otherwise, we follow the Stow/Munroe Falls Public School calendar for holidays and snow days.
Fees for the 2009/10 School Year
3 year old class---$77/month
4 year old class---$97/month
4+5 year old class---$117/month
A $50 non-refundable registration fee is required at the time of registration. Tuition is due on the first of each of the nine months from September through May. September's tuition is due on August 1st. Checks may be made out to Stow UMC Preschool and put in the labeled box in the church office by the mailboxes or they can be mailed to the church at 4880 Fishcreek Rd., Stow, OH 44224. Reminder postcards are mailed out in mid-July.
