Growing in Faith in Christ~Reaching Out in God's Love
-Children's Place Day CareChildren's Place has earned a One Star Rating fron Step Up To Quality from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services!
Children's Place is an outreach ministry of the United Methodist Church in Stow. This program provides care, nurturing, and education to children in Stow and the surrounding communities. Children's Place strives to serve families in the spirit expressed in the Church statement: "Big enough to serve, small enough to care."
Children's Place is open from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. year round. We serve children from 18 months old through the fourth grade of elementary school. Children are transported to our program by the Stow Munroe Falls school bus system from Echo Hills and Holy Family. Special needs children are transported from Indian Trail.
Our student teacher ratio is kept low to help give each child the quality care they deserve. The toddler room (18 months through two and one half years) has a teacher to student ratio of 1 to 6. Our three year old preschool class has a teacher to student ratio of 1 to 10. Our four year old preschool class has a teacher to student ratio of 1 to 12. Our school age program has a teacher to student ratio of 1 to 15.
Our fees are competitive with other area day care centers. Because we are an outreach ministry of our church, we also accept children subsidized by Summit County and by Portage County. A sliding fee scale is available for families who qualify.
